People ask me, “Nick, you work so hard. Why are you in this business?” My response is always the same—I love what I do. In fact, I love this business even more since my life-changing experience in 2007 when I had been diagnosed with a serious illness. It took months of rehab and persistence and I’m happy to say I amazed the therapists and the doctors and made a full recovery.
So why is this important to my business? I had months of recovery with nothing to do but think and I realized three things:
> The importance of family: some of my most difficult times were missing my children’s events like my son’s hockey game where he got his first win and shut-out.
> The importance of health: you never realize how much you rely on your health until something happens.
> The importance of doing something you love: if you’re going to be an entrepreneur then you’d better have more driving you than just making money. You have to love what you’re doing. Clients can tell the difference too.
Yes, I’m in the right business. The adrenaline rush I get when I’m successful in helping a client achieve their housing dreams is amazing. I love working with people.
Which brings me to the next thing. It became clear that in order to continue to deliver high quality service, I had to make a few changes. I’m pleased to roll-out our revitalized business with three foundational pieces: a stronger identity, greater clarity of what we do, and an aligned focus on how we deal with our clients and how we deliver exceptional results.
My team and I are looking forward to helping you meet and exceed your housing dreams.
